About Voice Recorder
A voice recorder for the times you need a quick memo, a rehearsal, a message to send or a clip for a project. Press Start, allow the microphone when your browser asks, and speak. A timer and a level bar show that it is working, and you can pause and carry on.
When you stop, the recording appears in a player so you can listen straight away. Download it in the format your browser records in, or as a WAV file for editing. If you have more than one microphone, choose which to use. Switches for echo, background noise and volume levelling suit speech, and can be turned off for music.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the page ask for permission?
Your browser asks before any page can use the microphone. The page only asks when you press Start. If you refused by mistake, allow it again from the address bar.
What format is the recording?
It is the format your browser records in, usually WebM or MP4. You can also download a WAV file.
How long can I record?
There is no set limit. Very long recordings use more memory, so stop and save every so often.
The level bar does not move. What should I check?
Check that the right microphone is selected, that it is not muted, and that the browser has permission.
Should I leave the processing options on?
For speech, yes. For music or any sound where you want an untouched recording, turn off all three.
