About Meme Generator
A meme is usually a picture with a line of text across the top and another along the bottom. This generator does the layout for you. Choose any picture, type the two lines and the text is placed at the edges in bold capital letters with a thick outline, so it can be read on any background.
Long lines wrap onto more lines and the letters shrink until everything fits inside the picture. You can change the font, the text colour and the outline colour, switch off capital letters and leave either box empty. The meme is saved at the size of the picture you started with.

Frequently asked questions
Which font gives the classic meme look?
Choose Heavy. It uses a bold, narrow style with a thick black outline and white fill, which is the usual look. If that font is not installed it falls back to a similar bold style.
What if my text is too long?
The text wraps onto extra lines and shrinks to fit within a third of the height of the picture. Shorter lines look better, so try cutting some words.
Can I have text only at the top or bottom?
Yes. Leave the other box empty.
Will the meme be low quality?
It is saved at the same width and height as your picture. Choose PNG for the sharpest result or JPG for a smaller file.
Can I turn off capital letters?
Yes. Untick "Capital letters" to keep the text as you typed it.
