About Add Text to Image
Adding words to a picture turns a photo into a poster, a quote card, a thumbnail or a label. Type your text, choose a font and colour and it is drawn onto the picture straight away. Click or drag on the picture to move it to exactly where you want it.
The size of the text is a share of the width of the picture, so it looks the same on a small photo and a large one. Long text wraps onto new lines, and you can add your own line breaks. An outline or a soft shadow keeps the words readable over busy backgrounds, and the opacity control lets you make the text subtle.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use more than one line of text?
Yes. Press Enter in the text box to start a new line. Lines that are too long for the picture also wrap by themselves.
How do I make text easy to read on a busy photo?
Use white text with a dark outline, or turn on the shadow. You can also place the text over a calm part of the picture such as the sky.
Which fonts can I use?
There are five styles: sans serif, serif, rounded, typewriter and heavy. They use fonts installed on your computer, so the exact look can vary a little between computers.
Is the saved picture the same size as the original?
Yes. The text is drawn at the full size of your picture, so there is no loss of detail.
Can I add text in more than one place?
Each save has one block of text. To add a second block, save the picture, then choose the saved file and add the next text.
