Football League Table Generator
Paste results like Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea, one per line. You get played, won, drawn, lost, goals, goal difference, points and form, sorted by the tie-break you pick.
Worked examples
Six results among four teams
Rovers 2-1 United, City 0-0 Athletic, United 3-0 City, Athletic 1-1 Rovers, Rovers 0-2 City, United 1-1 Athletic
United 4 points (+2), Rovers 4 (-1), City 4 (-1), Athletic 3
Rovers and City are level on points and goal difference, so goals scored put Rovers second.
About Football League Table Generator
A league table is just a set of results sorted in a particular order, and this generator builds it for you. Paste or type one result per line, such as Rovers 2-1 United, and the page finds the teams, counts played, won, drawn and lost, adds up goals for and against, works out goal difference and points, and shows each team's last five results. Change the points for a win or a draw if your league does not use 3 and 1.
The order matters most when teams finish level on points, and competitions disagree. The Premier League looks at goal difference and then goals scored. La Liga and Serie A look first at the results between the teams that are tied. The generator offers these rules, and a box for points deductions or additions. If teams are still level on every measure, they share a position and are listed alphabetically.

Frequently asked questions
How are league tables ordered?
By points first. Teams level on points are then separated by a tie-break rule, which differs between competitions. Common ones are goal difference, goals scored and results between the teams concerned.
What do GF, GA and GD mean?
Goals for, goals against and goal difference. Goal difference is goals for minus goals against, so a team that scores 20 and concedes 12 has a goal difference of +8.
Which tie-break does the Premier League use?
Goal difference, then goals scored. Check the current rules of your own competition, because they can change between seasons.
Can I use a different system of points?
Yes. Change the points for a win and a draw. For example, some old competitions gave 2 points for a win.
How do I add a points deduction?
In the second box, type the team name and the number on a line, such as United -3. A plus number adds points. The table shows the adjustment next to the points.
