About Darts Checkout Calculator
To win a leg of darts you have to reach exactly zero, and the last dart must land in a double or the bullseye. The highest score that can be finished in one visit is 170, made with two treble 20s and the bullseye. This calculator takes the score you have left and shows how to finish it, with up to three darts, and lists every other route so you can pick the one that suits you.
Seven scores cannot be finished with three darts: 159, 162, 163, 165, 166, 168 and 169. A score of 1 can never be finished because no double is worth 1, and going to 1 or below zero is a bust. The suggested route uses the fewest darts, then the strongest set up darts such as treble 20 or the bull, then a friendly double. Many players have favourite routes, so the full list and a chart for every score are there too.

Frequently asked questions
What is the highest checkout in darts?
170, which is treble 20, treble 20 and the bullseye. It is the only way to finish 170, and no score higher than that can be checked out in a single visit.
Which scores cannot be checked out?
With three darts, 159, 162, 163, 165, 166, 168 and 169 cannot be finished, nor can 1. These are sometimes called bogey numbers.
Why must the last dart be a double?
It is the rule of the standard game. A finish must be made on a double, or the bullseye, which counts as a double 25 and is worth 50.
What is the highest score that can be finished with two darts?
110, with a treble 20 and the bullseye. The highest score that a single dart can finish is 50, the bull.
Is the suggested route the official one?
No. There is no single official chart, and players have favourites. The suggestion comes from this page's own ranking, and every other route is listed.
