About Team Holiday Planner
Keeping track of who is off and when is a job that often lives in an email inbox or a spreadsheet that nobody trusts. This planner keeps it in one place. Add each person with their allowance for the leave year, then add bookings with a first and last day off. Weekends are not counted, you choose which days of the week the team works, and bank holidays are left out of the days booked because nobody needs to take leave for them.
If your allowance includes bank holidays, as the statutory 28 days for a full-time worker does, they are taken off each person's balance automatically. Each person gets a summary of the allowance, the days booked, the bank holidays used and the days left. A calendar for the whole leave year shades each day by how many people are off, and days that go over the most people you can manage are marked, so a clash is visible before you approve a request. It uses bank holiday dates for England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland from 2026 to 2028. Everything is remembered for your next visit and you can export the bookings as a CSV.

Frequently asked questions
How are days counted?
Only working days between the first and last day off count, Monday to Friday unless you change it. Bank holidays that fall in a booking are not counted as leave days.
What does Bank holidays come out of the allowance mean?
If you tick it, the bank holidays on working days in the leave year are deducted from every person's allowance. Tick it when the allowance, such as 28 days, includes bank holidays.
What is the statutory holiday allowance?
Most full-time workers are entitled to at least 5.6 weeks of holiday with pay a year, which is 28 days for a five day week. Employers can include bank holidays in that.
Does it work out holiday pay?
No. Holiday pay depends on contracts and pay patterns. Use the holiday pay calculator for that.
