Lottery Number Generator

Choose a game and how many lines. Each line follows the game's own rules, with the main numbers in order and the extra numbers shown separately. The chance of the top prize is shown for each game.

Every combination is equally likely to win, so a random line is no better or worse than any other. You must be 18 to play. This page does not sell tickets and has no link with the game operators. If gambling is a worry, BeGambleAware.org can help.

About Lottery Number Generator

A lottery number generator makes you a random line that follows the rules of the game you pick. For Lotto that means 6 different numbers from 1 to 59. For EuroMillions it is 5 numbers from 1 to 50 plus 2 Lucky Stars from 1 to 12. Thunderball is 5 numbers from 1 to 39 plus one Thunderball from 1 to 14, and Set For Life is 5 numbers from 1 to 47 plus one Life Ball from 1 to 10.

Choose the game and how many lines you want and the lines appear, with the main numbers in order and the extra numbers shown in a different colour. The chance of winning the top prize with any one line is worked out from the rules and shown, so you can see how remote it is. The rules were checked against the game pages on 18 October 2026, but games can change, so check before you buy.

Frequently asked questions

Do random numbers improve my chances?

No. Every combination has exactly the same chance of being drawn. Random numbers can only help you avoid sharing a prize with others, because many people choose birthdays and so favour numbers up to 31.

What are the odds of the top prize?

For Lotto it is 1 in 45,057,474, for EuroMillions 1 in 139,838,160, for Thunderball 1 in 8,060,598 and for Set For Life 1 in 15,339,390. They come from counting the ways to pick the numbers the game asks for.

Can this tool buy tickets or check results?

No. It only makes lines. It does not sell tickets, check draws or connect to any operator. To play, use an official retailer or the operator's own site or app.

What are the extra numbers?

EuroMillions has 2 Lucky Stars, Thunderball has one Thunderball and Set For Life has one Life Ball. They are chosen from a separate, smaller set of numbers and are shown in a different colour from the main numbers.

How old do I have to be to play?

You must be 18 or over to play National Lottery games in the UK. If gambling is causing you worry, BeGambleAware.org offers advice and support.
