Dividend Tax Calculator について
This dividend tax calculator estimates the tax you pay on dividends from a company you own or invest in, on top of your salary or other income. The first £500 of dividends above your personal allowance is taxed at 0% each tax year. For 2026/27 the rest is taxed at 10.75% in the basic rate band, 35.75% in the higher rate band and 39.35% in the additional rate band, with the bands set by your total income.
Enter your salary or other income and the dividends you receive. The calculator works out your personal allowance, which is reduced for income over £100,000, then taxes your salary and your dividends band by band. The result shows the tax on salary, the tax on dividends, the total and the effective rate on all your income. Scotland has different income tax bands, so salary tax here uses the England, Wales and Northern Ireland bands.

よくあるご質問
What is the dividend allowance for 2026/27?
The dividend allowance is £500. Any personal allowance left after your salary covers dividends first. The next £500 of dividends is taxed at 0%. Dividends above that are taxed at the dividend rate for the band your income falls into.
What dividend tax rates apply from 6 April 2026?
From 6 April 2026 to 5 April 2027, dividends are taxed at 10.75% in the basic rate band, 35.75% in the higher rate band and 39.35% in the additional rate band.
Are dividends taxed on top of my salary?
Yes. Your salary is taxed first, and dividends sit on top of it. This means the amount of salary you earn decides which dividend band your dividends fall into, which is why many company directors take a modest salary and the rest as dividends.
Does Scotland have a different dividend tax rate?
Dividend tax rates are the same across the UK. Scotland has its own income tax bands for salary and other earned income, which this calculator does not use. The salary part of the result uses the England, Wales and Northern Ireland bands.
