3. The services and tools

Valtrinity is a website of online tools. They help you look up and check information about websites, domains, email set-up and similar things. Some tools produce reports. The Video Transcriber turns an audio or video file you upload into a text transcript.

We may add, change or remove tools at any time. Some tools are open to everyone. Some need an account. Some are only in Unlimited, a tool pack or a tool pass.

We do not guarantee that the service will be available all the time. It may stop or slow down for maintenance, for reasons outside our control or for other reasons. We do not guarantee any level of uptime.

Some items cannot be checked. For example, a website may block our requests, or a source may be down. We cannot promise that any particular target will work.

The services are not available in Russia, and we block access from there. You must not use the services in any way that would breach sanctions, export controls or other laws that apply to you or to us.

4. The Video Transcriber

The Video Transcriber is available to signed in users only. You upload a file that you have the right to upload, and we return a transcript. How we handle the file is described in our Privacy policy. In short, the uploaded file is deleted as soon as transcription finishes or fails and in every case within 24 hours, a transcript is kept for 30 days unless you delete it sooner, and we do not use uploads or transcripts to train any model.

  • Single transcript: £0.99 for one file of up to 90 minutes.
  • Unlimited: includes up to 600 minutes of transcription each calendar month, with files of up to 180 minutes each. See the Fair Use Policy.
  • We also apply a daily limit on the total minutes transcribed across the whole site, to keep the service running for everyone. If it has been reached, you may need to try again the next day.

You must have the right to upload the file and to have it transcribed. Where the file contains voices or personal information of other people, you are responsible for having a lawful reason for processing it. Transcripts are produced automatically and may contain mistakes (see the section on estimates). You can delete a transcript at any time from the page. Buying a single transcript is covered by the section on immediate delivery below and by our Refunds page.

5. Results are estimates

Results are for information only. They are estimates. They may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. We do not guarantee that any result is accurate, complete or suitable for your purpose.

Nothing on the site is professional, legal, tax, financial, medical or security advice. Do not treat it as advice. If a decision matters, speak to a qualified professional.

You must check results yourself before you rely on them. This is especially important before you make changes to a website, a domain, an email set-up or anything else that could affect you or others.

Transcripts are created automatically. They may contain mistakes, missing words, wrong wording or wrong speaker labels. Check a transcript before you rely on it.

6. Accounts and age

You can create an account with an email address and password, or sign in with your Google account. You must give us accurate information and keep it up to date.

You must be 18 or over to use the service.

An account is for one person. Do not share your login. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. If you think someone else has access to your account, contact us straight away at [email protected].

7. Acceptable use

You must use the service lawfully and sensibly. You must not:

  • scan or test any website, server or system that you do not own or do not have permission to check;
  • try to get around usage limits, access controls or payment requirements, including limits and paywalls on tools;
  • scrape, crawl or copy data from the service;
  • use automated or bulk methods beyond the limits allowed in our Fair Use Policy;
  • resell the service or its results;
  • share your login or let others use your account;
  • submit or share illegal content, or content that infringes anyone else's rights;
  • interfere with the service, or put a heavy load on it, or try to disrupt it for others;
  • use the lookup tools to attack, harass, threaten or spy on anyone;
  • exceed the caps in our Fair Use Policy, or avoid them by using several accounts.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to check a target and to use the results for your purpose. If you use the Video Transcriber, you must only upload files that you are entitled to upload and have transcribed. Do not upload content that is unlawful, or that you have no right to use. You must not use the Video Transcriber to build a competing transcription service or to gather voice data about people who do not know about it.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these rules. See the section on suspension and termination.

8. Plans and prices

All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). See the section on taxes and payments below. If you choose another region, the price may be shown in a local currency, and the amount charged is the amount shown at checkout. Our options are:

  • Unlimited, monthly: £29.99 a month. It gives access to the whole service, subject to our Fair Use Policy. It renews every month until you cancel.
  • Unlimited, yearly: £249 a year for the same access. It renews every year until you cancel.
  • Tool packs: the SEO pack at £17.99 a month, or the Network and domain pack at £12.99 a month, each giving access to the tools listed for that pack. A pack renews every month until you cancel.
  • Single tool pass: £3.99 a week. It covers that one tool only, up to the cap in our Fair Use Policy. It renews every week until you cancel.
  • 24 hour pass: £1.49, one time. It covers one single tool for 24 hours from the time we receive your payment, up to the cap in our Fair Use Policy. It does not renew.
  • Single transcript: £0.99, one time, to open the transcript of one file of up to 90 minutes. It does not renew.
  • Team, Business and Enterprise plans: see the section below.

Each plan has daily and monthly caps, which are also set out in our Fair Use Policy:

  • Without a plan: 5 lookups a day for visitors and 10 a day with an account.
  • Unlimited: 1,000 lookups a day; 150 runs of Unlimited tools a day; 1,000 bulk targets a day, up to 25 in one run; 600 minutes of transcription a calendar month, with files of up to 180 minutes.
  • AI writing and text tools: 3 runs a day for visitors and 10 a day with an account; with Unlimited or a tool pack, 100 runs a day. Text to image is included with Unlimited, up to 20 images a day. All AI tools together also share a monthly allowance: with Unlimited, at least 400 full-length runs a month (300 on the yearly plan), or 100 a day, whichever comes first; with a tool pack, at least 200 full-length runs a month, or 100 a day, whichever comes first; with an account and no plan, or during a trial, at least 15 full-length runs a month, or 10 a day, whichever comes first; for visitors, at least 5 full-length runs a month, or 3 a day, whichever comes first. Shorter texts use less of it. The allowance resets on the first day of each month, and when it is used up the AI tools pause until then.
  • Each tool pack: 150 runs a day.
  • Each single tool pass or 24 hour pass: 60 runs a day of that one tool.

Some tools may be open to everyone, with or without an account. We may change which tools are open and which need a plan.

9. Team, Business and Enterprise plans

Team (£149 a month), Business (£399 a month) and Enterprise (from £999 a month) are for businesses. We invoice for them. What each plan includes, such as the number of people and any higher caps, is set out in the order, quote or invoice we send you and, for caps, our Fair Use Policy. These plans are available only to people buying for the purposes of their business, and you confirm that you are doing so. The 14 day cancellation right described on our Refunds page does not apply to business customers.

If you process personal information through the service on behalf of your business, our Data Processing Agreement forms part of your agreement with us. Invoices are payable by the date stated on the invoice. To cancel, email [email protected] before the next invoice period starts; the plan then ends at the end of the period already invoiced. We may suspend a Team plan for an invoice that is overdue, after notice.

10. The trial

We may offer a 3 day trial when you take out your first Unlimited plan (monthly or yearly) on an account. These rules apply:

  • A trial is for the first Unlimited plan on an account. Tool passes, 24 hour passes, tool packs, single transcripts and Team plans do not have a trial.
  • Only one trial is available for each account.
  • A card is required to start the trial.
  • You are not charged during the trial.
  • The price that will be charged when the trial ends is shown before you confirm, and Stripe emails you before the trial ends.
  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the plan starts and your card is charged. It is then charged each month or year, depending on what you chose, until you cancel.
  • We may refuse a trial where we suspect abuse, for example repeat sign ups to get more trials.

You can cancel at any time from the billing link in the account menu. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.

11. Renewals and cancellation

Unlimited (monthly) and tool packs renew automatically each month, Unlimited (yearly) renews each year, and tool passes renew each week, until you cancel. A 24 hour pass does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel. You can cancel at any time through the billing link in the account menu. If you cannot find it, email [email protected] and we will cancel for you.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already been charged for (a week, a month or a year). We do not give refunds for the unused part of a period, except where the law requires them or where the section on changes to the service or on suspension and termination says so.

You may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days. Our Refunds page explains this and how to ask for a refund.

Where the law requires it, we will email you a reminder before your plan renews.

12. Immediate delivery and your right to cancel

If you are a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you 14 days to cancel a contract for a service or digital content. To start the service straight away, we ask you at checkout to confirm that you expressly ask us to begin immediately, and that you understand how this affects your right to cancel:

  • for a plan, pass or pack, if you cancel within the 14 days you must pay a proportionate amount for what you have used up to the time you tell us;
  • for a single transcript, once the transcript has been delivered by opening it, you lose your right to cancel.

We record the time you gave this consent. After you buy, we email you a purchase confirmation that repeats these terms. The full position is on our Refunds page.

13. Price changes

We may change our prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice. A price change will not affect a plan you already have until its next renewal after the notice period. If you do not want the new price, you can cancel before it applies.

14. Taxes and payments

Prices are shown in full. We are not currently registered for VAT; if that changes, prices will include VAT where it applies. Tax may be added where the law requires it.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details. Stripe's own terms and privacy notice apply to how it handles your payment.

If a payment fails, we may try again, ask you for another card, or pause your plan until the payment is made.

15. Changes to the service and to tools

We may add, change or remove features and tools from time to time. We will try to keep changes fair.

If we remove a tool and you have a pass for it, we will refund you for the unused part of the current month, in proportion to the time left. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you have bought, we will tell you and offer a remedy that is fair and in line with the law. This does not affect your legal rights.

16. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Please cancel any plan first so you are not charged again.

We may warn you, slow down your use, suspend your access or close your account if:

  • you break these terms;
  • you breach our Fair Use Policy;
  • we reasonably believe your account is being misused;
  • you start a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us to try to resolve it;
  • the law requires it.

In serious cases we may act straight away. Where we end your account and it is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of your current plan. Where we end it because you broke these terms, we do not have to refund the unused part, except where the law says otherwise.

17. Third-party links and adverts

Our site may link to other websites. We provide these links for convenience. We do not control those websites and we are not responsible for their content or what happens on them. A link does not mean we endorse the website.

We show third-party adverts on some pages. People with an active Unlimited plan do not see adverts while it is active. Advertisers are responsible for their own adverts and for the products or services they promote. We do not control their content and we do not endorse them. For more on adverts and how to control them, see our Privacy policy and Cookies page.

18. Intellectual property

The site, its design, its branding, its text, its software and its tools belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, reuse or sell them without our written permission. You get a personal, limited right to use the service as these terms allow.

You keep your rights in what you put into the service (your input) and in the results we produce for you (your output). We do not claim ownership of them. Rights in anything you check or transcribe, such as a website or a video, stay with its owner.

You give us a limited permission to process your input, produce your results, store them so you can open them, and show them to you. We use this permission only to run the service.

19. Disclaimer

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, and to the fullest extent the law allows, we provide the service "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be without errors, always available or that results will be accurate or complete.

We are not responsible for decisions you make or actions you take based on results.

If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content and services must be as described, of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and provided with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

20. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

This section is subject to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and to your other rights as a consumer.

Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data;
  • we are not liable for loss caused by events we could not reasonably have foreseen when you started using the service;
  • if you use the service for business purposes, we do not accept liability for loss of profit or business opportunity;
  • our total liability for all claims connected with the service is limited to the total you were charged by us in the 12 months before the claim arose. For Team, Business and Enterprise customers this cap also applies to liability under the Data Processing Agreement, unless the law does not allow it.

21. Indemnity

If you misuse the service, for example by breaking the section on acceptable use, and that causes us a loss or a third-party claim, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses arising from that misuse. This does not apply to a consumer's normal, lawful use of the service, and it does not limit your legal rights.

22. Privacy

Our Privacy policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and what your rights are. Our Cookies page explains how we use cookies and similar technology.

23. Complaints

If you have a complaint about the site or the service, please contact us first at [email protected]. Tell us what has gone wrong and what you would like us to do. We will acknowledge your complaint and try to put it right.

If we cannot resolve your complaint, UK consumers can also use alternative dispute resolution (ADR). ADR is a way of settling a dispute without going to court.

24. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in the service. We will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. For significant changes we will also tell you by email or on the site before they take effect.

If you keep using the service after changes take effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel your plan and close your account.

25. General terms

  • Entire agreement. These terms, with the documents they refer to (including, for Team plans, the Data Processing Agreement), are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. They replace any earlier understanding.
  • Severability. If a part of these terms is found to be invalid or cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
  • Assignment. We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to another company, as long as this does not reduce your rights. You may not transfer yours without our written permission.
  • Force majeure. We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as power or network failures, failures of third-party services, strikes, fire, flood, war or government action.
  • Third parties. Nobody else has a right to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

26. Governing law and courts

These terms, and any dispute connected with them, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live, and the mandatory consumer protection laws of that part of the UK still apply to you.
