About Word Sorter
Sorting lines is easy to find, but sometimes the words are all in one paragraph: names typed on one line, a string of tags, a recipe's ingredients or the letters of a puzzle. The word sorter splits the text on spaces, sorts the words the way you choose and gives them back in the layout you want.
You can sort A to Z or Z to A, shortest or longest first, or simply reverse the order. Sorting follows British English rules, so an accented letter sorts with its plain letter, and capital letters and punctuation around words can be ignored while sorting. Turn on natural number order to put item2 before item10. Repeated words can be removed, and the result can be shown on one line, separated by commas, or one word per line. Each word is returned exactly as you typed it.

Frequently asked questions
Does it change the words?
No. Words are only moved, not altered, so capitals, punctuation and accents stay as typed.
How are accented letters sorted?
With their plain letter, so éclair sorts between apple and zoo as an e word.
What does natural order mean?
Numbers inside words are compared as numbers, so item2 comes before item10. Plain alphabetical order would put item10 first.
Can I sort lines instead of words?
Choose one word per line for the output, or use the sort lines tool when each line is an item to keep whole.
