About WebP to JPG

WebP to JPG converts WebP images, such as pictures saved from a website, into JPG files that nearly every program and upload form accepts. Choose up to 20, set a quality and download the results.

WebP can hold transparency but JPG cannot, so see-through areas are filled with the colour you choose. A higher quality number keeps more detail and makes a bigger file. Each file shows its size before and after.

How to use WebP to JPG

  1. Choose one or more WebP images.
  2. Set the quality and the fill colour.
  3. Select Convert to JPG.
  4. Download each JPG or all of them.

Common uses

  • Using a picture saved from a website in a document
  • Uploading to a form that rejects WebP
  • Sharing a picture with someone whose software cannot open WebP
  • Preparing pictures for printing

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose quality?

A little, as with any JPG. Quality 90 is hard to tell from the original. Lower numbers give smaller files and softer detail.

What about transparent WebP images?

Transparent areas are filled with white, black or grey. If you need to keep the transparency, use the WebP to PNG tool.

Can I convert several at once?

Yes, up to 20. Each is converted in turn and listed with its size before and after.

Why did a file fail?

It may be damaged, or not really a WebP image. The list says which file could not be converted and the others carry on.
