About Random Playing Card Generator
A random playing card generator draws cards from a standard deck for you. Draw one card to settle a choice, draw five to see a poker hand, or switch to dealing and give each of several players a hand of the size you choose. The deck is shuffled fresh each time.
A standard deck has 52 cards, 13 ranks in each of four suits: spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs. You can add two jokers, which makes 54. Drawing without putting cards back is the same as dealing from the top of a shuffled deck, so no card can appear twice. If you tick the box to put each card back, every draw is independent and the same card can come up again. Each card is shown as a card and also written out in words.

Frequently asked questions
Are the cards shuffled properly?
Yes. The deck is shuffled with an unbiased shuffle driven by the device's random number source, so every order of the deck is equally likely.
Can the same card come up twice?
Not when drawing without replacement or dealing, because each card leaves the deck once drawn. It can if you tick the option to put each card back.
How many cards can I deal?
As many as the deck holds. With 52 cards you can deal 4 hands of 13, or 6 hands of 8 with 4 cards left. The page tells you how many are left over.
Are the jokers included by default?
No. A standard deck has no jokers. Tick the box to add two, one black and one red.
Does it remember what has been dealt?
No. Every press starts with a full, freshly shuffled deck. Copy the hands if you want a record.
