About Multi-buy Deal Calculator
A multi-buy deal calculator turns a shop offer into the price you pay. Offers come in many forms, such as 3 for 2, 2 for £3, half price on the second item or buy one and get one at no charge, and they are hard to compare in your head. Choose the kind of offer, enter the normal price of one item and how many you want, and you get the total, the saving and the average price of each.
The tool works out how many complete deals you can use, and charges full price for any items left over, so buying seven items on a 3 for 2 gives two deals and one at the normal price. The saving is shown in pounds and as a percentage. A deal only helps on things you would have bought anyway, so also compare unit prices with other brands and sizes.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a 3 for 2 save?
A third of the price on each group of three. For seven items at £2, you pay £10 instead of £14, a saving of £4 or 28.6%, because the seventh is at full price.
What is half price on the second item worth?
A saving of a quarter on each pair. Two items at £2 cost £3 instead of £4.
How are 2 for £3 deals worked out?
The group price replaces the normal price for each complete group. Five items at £2 on a 2 for £3 deal cost £8, which is two deals at £3 and one at £2.
Is a multi-buy always better?
Not always. Another brand or a bigger pack may cost less for the same amount, and buying more than you need wastes the saving. Check the unit price.
How do I enter a buy one get one deal?
Choose the extra items at no charge option, enter 1 as the number you buy and 1 for the extra items. The group has two items and you pay for one.
