About Image Colour Replacer
Changing one colour in a picture by hand is slow and leaves rough edges. This tool does it by matching colours. Click a colour in the picture, choose the one to swap in, and every pixel close enough to the original is changed. The match width and the soft edge let you control how far the change spreads and how smooth the join is.
Keeping light and dark detail carries the shading of each pixel over to the new colour, so a shiny red object becomes a shiny blue one and not a flat shape. You can also make the matched colour see-through, which is a quick way to remove a plain background. Save as PNG to keep the transparency.

Frequently asked questions
What does "how close a match" mean?
It is how far a colour can differ from the one you picked and still be changed. A low value changes only nearly identical shades. A high value changes many shades and can spill onto other parts of the picture.
Why is there a halo around the changed area?
The edge pixels are a mix of both colours. Raise the match a little and add some soft edge so the mix is blended into the new colour.
Can I remove a background with this?
It works well on a plain background in one colour. For complicated backgrounds use the background remover instead.
What does keeping light and dark detail do?
It keeps the brighter and darker parts of the original colour, so the new colour still has highlights and shadows.
Which file type should I save?
Choose PNG or WebP if you made a colour see-through. JPG fills it with the background colour.
