Password Generator
Generate strong, random passwords of any length.

Esempi svolti
Strong password for a new account
Length 16 with uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols all ticked
A new random 16 character password containing at least one character from each type, for example a mix of letters, digits and symbols. The characters are random, so no fixed value can be shown.
Every selected type appears at least once, and the characters are shuffled, so the result is different each time you press generate.
Easy to read password for typing
Length 20 with look-alike characters removed
A new random 20 character password with no 0, O, 1, l or I, so it is easier to read aloud or type from a note. The exact characters are random.
Removing look-alike characters makes the password slightly smaller in choice, but it avoids typing errors from misreading.
Informazioni su Password Generator
A password generator creates a random string of characters that is hard to guess, which is far more reliable than a word you invent yourself. This tool lets you set the length from 8 to 64 characters and choose letters, digits and symbols. It can also leave out look-alike characters such as capital I and the number 1, which helps when you type a password by hand.
The generator also estimates entropy, a measure in bits of how many guesses a password might take to crack under a given model. Higher numbers generally indicate a longer or more varied password, but no estimate guarantees safety. Use a unique password for each site, and pair it with two-factor authentication wherever the service offers it.

How long should a password be?
For most logins, aim for at least 16 characters, using letters, digits and symbols where the site allows them. Length usually matters more than complexity, so a long, random password is generally stronger than a short one full of symbols. Some services set maximum lengths or ban certain characters, so check their rules before you choose the length here.
Are generated passwords safe to use?
A generated password is only as good as the way it was made and the trust you place in the tool. Before relying on one, check that the page loads over HTTPS without warnings and never reuse it on another site. Keep it in a password manager, and turn on two-factor authentication wherever it is offered. A random, unique password greatly lowers the risk of guessing.
What does password entropy mean?
Password entropy is an estimate, measured in bits, of how hard a password would be to guess by brute force if an attacker knew the character set and length. Each extra bit doubles the number of guesses needed. The figure assumes truly random characters, so a word or name chosen by a person usually scores lower than the number suggests. Treat it as a guide, not a guarantee.
Why exclude look-alike characters from a password?
Characters such as capital I, lowercase l, the number 1, capital O and the number 0 are easy to confuse in many fonts. Leaving them out makes a password easier to read and type, especially when you copy it from a screen. It also reduces the pool of possible characters slightly, so leave the option off if you never type the password by hand.
Where should I keep a generated password?
Save it in a password manager, which can keep track of each login and fill it in for you. Avoid notes apps, unencrypted files and messages, where others may be able to read it. If you must write a password down, keep the paper somewhere secure and away from the computer it protects.
