Domande frequenti
How do you convert an hourly rate to an annual salary?
Multiply the hourly rate by the hours you work each week, then by the weeks you work each year. For example, £15 an hour for 37.5 hours over 52 weeks is £29,250 a year. The calculator does this for you and shows the other pay periods as well.
How do you convert a salary to an hourly rate?
Divide the annual salary by the hours worked in a year, which is weekly hours multiplied by weeks worked. A £30,000 salary over 37.5 hours and 52 weeks gives about £15.38 an hour. Change the hours to see how the rate moves.
What is the 12.07% holiday pay option?
It is the rate often used for casual and irregular hours workers, based on 5.6 weeks of leave for every 46.4 weeks worked. Choosing it adds 12.07% to the pay you entered. If your rate already includes holiday, leave the first option selected.
Why is monthly pay annual pay divided by 12?
Salaried staff normally receive the same amount each month, which is one twelfth of the annual figure. Pay for a worked week is shown separately, because a month does not hold a whole number of weeks.
Is this pay before or after tax?
All figures are before income tax and National Insurance, so they are not what lands in your bank account. To see what you would take home, put the annual amount into the take-home pay calculator. This is an estimate only and is not advice.
