Informazioni su Citation Generator
A citation generator saves you from remembering where every comma, bracket and italic goes. Choose the type of source, pick a style and fill in the details you have. The citation is built as you type, with italics where the style needs them, and one button copies it.
Six styles are covered: APA 7, MLA 9, Harvard, Chicago, IEEE and Vancouver, for websites, books, journal articles and videos. For websites you can fetch the page title and site name from the address, which uses one of your daily lookups. Add the author and date yourself, and always check the result against your own course guide.

Domande frequenti
How should I type author names?
Type one author per line as "First Last" or "Last, First". The tool turns them into initials or full names as the style requires. Tick the organisation box if the author is a company or charity.
What does fetching a title do?
It reads the page title and site name from the web address and fills those two boxes if they are empty. It uses one of your daily lookups, so it is optional. You still need to add the author and dates yourself.
Does the copy keep the italics?
Yes. Pasting into a word processor or email keeps the italics. Pasting into a plain text box gives the same words without them.
Can I trust the format for my course?
The patterns follow the standard guides, but departments and journals add their own rules. Treat the result as a careful first draft and check it against your own guide.
