Ejemplos resueltos
Setting a title and author
Title Quarterly Report, with the author box left empty
The file now has the title Quarterly Report and no author; the pages are unchanged and the modified date is updated.
Leaving a box empty removes that detail from the file, while the page contents are not changed.
Adding keywords for file search
Keywords budget and 2026 entered in the keywords box
The file carries the keywords budget and 2026, which file search tools can use.
The title is what many PDF viewers show in the window or tab, so a clear title helps as well.
Sobre PDF Metadata Editor
Every PDF carries a few hidden details: a title, an author, a subject and keywords, plus the dates it was made and changed. They decide what appears in the title bar of a PDF viewer, and file search tools use them to find documents. This editor shows what is stored in your file and lets you change or clear any of the four main details. Nothing is changed until you save, and the file you chose is left as it was.
The panel at the top also lists the number of pages, the page size in millimetres with its paper name where there is one, the file size and the dates, so you can learn a lot about a file at a glance. Leaving a box empty removes that detail. Page contents are not changed, and the modified date is updated when you save, while the program that created the file is left as it was. Keywords are saved exactly as you type them.

Preguntas frecuentes
What is PDF metadata?
It is information stored inside the file but not shown on the pages: the title, author, subject, keywords, the program that made the file and the dates it was created and changed. Viewers and search tools read it to label and find files, and you can edit it freely.
How do I change the title of a PDF?
Choose the file, type the new title in the Title box and select Save new details. Download the updated file. Many viewers show this title in the window or browser tab, which is not always the same as the file name on your computer.
How do I remove the author from a PDF?
Choose the file, clear the Author box, or use Clear all four to empty every detail, then save. The author entry is removed from the file. Other places that may hold a name, such as the program name or text printed on the pages, are not altered.
How should I write keywords?
Separate them with commas, for example invoice, 2026, supplier. They are stored exactly as typed, including the commas. Search tools and some viewers read them, but there is no standard list, so use words you would search for yourself later.
Does editing metadata change the pages?
No. The pages, text, images and layout are not touched. Only the information record changes, and the modified date is set to the time you save. The creating program is left as it was, so you can still see where the document came from.
