Ejemplos resueltos
Turning a portrait photo upright
A 1200 by 800 pixel photo turned 90 degrees clockwise
An 800 by 1200 pixel image, with the original rotated.
A quarter turn swaps the width and height, which is why the shape changes.
Mirroring a photo
A 1200 by 800 pixel photo flipped horizontally
A 1200 by 800 pixel image that is a mirror image of the original.
A horizontal flip changes left and right but keeps the size, so the image stays the same shape.
Sobre Rotate & Flip Image
Pictures sometimes arrive sideways or upside down, or slightly tilted because the camera was not level. This tool turns them the right way with a single click. Use the 90 degree buttons to rotate left or right, the 180 degree button to turn a picture upside down, or type an angle to fix a crooked horizon. You can combine turns and flips in any order and press Reset to go back to the start whenever you like, with no limit on how many times you try.
You can also flip a picture left to right or top to bottom, which is useful for mirrored selfies and for preparing artwork. The preview updates instantly and shows the new size. Photos taken on phones carry a hidden note about which way up they were held, and this tool reads that note first so your picture starts in the orientation you see in your gallery. The preview is drawn from a smaller copy for speed, while the saved file is made from the full-size original so nothing is lost.

Preguntas frecuentes
Does rotating by 90 degrees lose quality?
No. Turning by 90, 180 or 270 degrees moves every pixel to a new position without changing it. Saving as PNG keeps the result exact, while JPG and WebP at lower quality compress the file in the usual way, so choose PNG if you want no loss.
What happens at other angles?
The picture is made larger so that no corner is cut off, and the new empty corners are transparent in PNG and WebP. You can fill them with the background colour instead, which is also what happens when you save as JPG because it cannot be see-through.
Which direction is a positive angle?
Angles are measured clockwise, so 10 turns the picture a little to the right and negative numbers turn it to the left. The line under the preview states the total turn and the final size so you can confirm the result before saving.
What is the difference between rotate and flip?
Rotating turns the picture around its centre, like turning a photo on a table. Flipping mirrors it, as if you held it up to a mirror. Flipping left to right swaps the sides, and flipping top to bottom swaps the top and bottom.
Why is my phone photo already turned correctly?
Phones store a small note with each photo describing how the phone was held. This page reads that note when it opens the picture, so what you see matches your gallery. The saved file is written upright, so other programs show it the same way.
