Saving notes as a PDF
Three short lines of meeting notes pasted in
A one page PDF with the three lines in a built-in font, set between the margins with the blank lines kept.
Long lines wrap automatically, and the text flows onto new pages when it runs past the bottom.
Keeping a tab in a list
A line reading Name, a tab, then Asha
A PDF line reading Name, four spaces, then Asha.
Tabs become four spaces, so columns keep a simple alignment in the saved file.
Über Text to PDF Converter
This converter turns plain text into a PDF with proper pages. Paste notes, an email, a log, a script or a draft, choose A4 or US Letter, set the margins and font size, and the tool wraps long lines to fit and starts a new page when the last one is full. Blank lines and indents are kept as you typed them, and tabs become four spaces. It is a quick way to get a clean document from text copied out of an email, a chat or a file.
A monospaced option uses a typewriter style font where every character has the same width, which keeps columns of text, tables made from spaces and code lined up. The built in fonts cover Western European letters, the pound sign and common punctuation. Characters outside that set, such as Chinese, Arabic or emoji, are replaced with a question mark, and a message tells you how many different characters were changed so nothing goes missing unnoticed. You can run it again with new settings whenever you like.

Häufige Fragen
How do I convert text to a PDF?
Paste your text into the box, choose the page size, margin and font size, and select Create PDF. The text is wrapped to fit between the margins and split over as many pages as needed. Download the file when the result appears, ready to print or send.
What happens to characters like Chinese or emoji?
The standard fonts built into PDF files cover Western European characters only. Anything else is replaced with a question mark, and a warning shows how many different characters were changed and lists a few of them, so you know the output is not an exact copy of the text.
How many lines fit on a page?
With A4, 20 mm margins and 11 point text there are about 50 lines on a page. Lines are spaced at one and a third times the font size. Larger margins or font sizes give fewer lines per page and more pages, and smaller ones give more lines on each page.
When should I use the monospaced font?
Use it for code, logs, tables made with spaces and anything where characters must line up in columns. Every character takes the same width, so alignment is kept. For letters, notes and general reading the normal font is more compact and easier on the eye.
Are blank lines and indents kept?
Yes. Empty lines stay as empty lines, and spaces at the start of a line are kept, so indented text stays indented. Tabs are turned into four spaces. Spaces at the very end of a line, and at the point where a long line wraps, are dropped.
