Sobre Whitespace Visualiser

This tool shows the characters you cannot normally see. Paste text and spaces become dots, tabs get an arrow, and line breaks are labelled LF, CRLF or CR so you can see which kind a file uses.

Non-breaking spaces, zero width spaces, the byte order mark and other unusual spaces are named in square brackets. A summary counts each kind, which helps you track down the odd character that breaks a script, a CSV import or a password.

Como usar Whitespace Visualiser

  1. Paste your text.
  2. Choose which marks to show.
  3. Read the marked text and the summary of what was found.

Usos comuns

  • Finding a stray non-breaking space in copied text
  • Checking whether a file uses LF or CRLF line endings
  • Spotting tabs mixed with spaces in code
  • Debugging a value that looks right but is rejected

What is the difference between LF and CRLF?

LF is a single line feed, used on Linux and Mac. CRLF is a carriage return then a line feed, used on Windows. Mixing them can confuse tools.

What is a non-breaking space?

Does the tool change my text?

The output is a marked-up copy for reading. Your original text stays in the input box.
