O narzędziu SRT to VTT Converter
SRT and VTT are the two most common subtitle and caption formats, and they are not interchangeable. An SRT file, short for SubRip, is a numbered list of captions with times that use a comma before the milliseconds. A VTT file, short for WebVTT, is the format that web video players use. It begins with a WEBVTT line, has no caption numbers and uses a full stop in its times. A caption file that works in one place often has to be converted before another will accept it, and this page does that in one step.
Paste your captions or choose a file and the converted version appears straight away, ready to copy or download. The format is detected for you, so SRT becomes VTT and VTT becomes SRT. If your captions run early or late, enter a number of seconds to move every caption by the same amount. Use a minus sign to bring them forward. Notes and style blocks in a VTT file are left out when you convert to SRT, and basic formatting such as italics is kept.

Najczęstsze pytania
What is the difference between SRT and VTT?
SRT is a simple numbered list with times written as 00:00:01,000. VTT begins with the word WEBVTT, has no numbers, writes times as 00:00:01.000 with a full stop, and can carry extra details such as positions and styles. Web players expect VTT, while many video editors export SRT.
How do I convert SRT to VTT?
Paste the SRT text or choose the file. The converter adds the WEBVTT line, removes the caption numbers and changes the commas in the times to full stops. Copy the result or download it as a .vtt file.
How do I convert VTT to SRT?
Paste the VTT text. The converter removes the WEBVTT header, notes and style blocks, numbers each caption, changes the full stops in the times to commas and drops cue settings such as align and position.
Can I move all the captions earlier or later?
Yes. Type a number of seconds in the box to move every caption. Use a plus number such as 2.5 to delay them, or a minus number such as -2.5 to bring them forward. Times never go below zero.
Why does my player say the caption file is wrong?
The most common cause is a format mismatch, such as an SRT file given to a player that needs VTT. Convert the file and try again. Also check that each caption has a time line with an arrow, like 00:00:01.000 --> 00:00:03.500.
