Different places want different image formats. A form may only accept JPG, a web page may load faster with WebP, and a design may need PNG for its transparent background. This tool converts PNG, JPG and WebP files in either direction, up to ten at a time, and lists each result with its before and after file size so you can see what you saved. It is a quick way to prepare a set of pictures for a website, a document or an upload form without opening each one separately.
When a transparent image is saved as JPG, the see-through areas have to become a solid colour. You choose that background colour, which is white by default. You can also fill transparent areas for PNG and WebP. Change the format, quality or colour at any moment and the whole batch is converted again, so there is no need to choose your files twice. Each converted file keeps the original name with the new ending, and repeated names are numbered so nothing gets overwritten.

How many files can I convert at once?
Up to ten. If you choose more, the first ten are converted and a message tells you the rest were skipped. Choose the next batch afterwards. Each file is listed with its own download button, and Download all saves them one after another.
What happens to transparency when I save as JPG?
JPG cannot store transparency, so see-through areas are filled with the background colour you pick, which is white to begin with. If you want to keep transparency, save as PNG or WebP instead, because both formats support it.
Will converting reduce the quality?
PNG is lossless, so converting to PNG keeps every pixel. JPG and WebP compress, and the quality slider controls how much. Around 85 to 90 percent looks very close to the original for photos. Converting between lossy formats more than once can add small flaws.
Why was one of my files not converted?
The list explains the reason beside the file. Common causes are a file that is not an image, a damaged file, or a format the page cannot open, such as some camera formats. Convert those to PNG or JPG first, then try again.
Why does my browser ask about multiple downloads?
Saving several files at once looks unusual to some browsers, which may ask you to allow it. Choose allow and the files will be saved one by one. You can also use the Download button beside each file to save them individually.
