Over Holiday Entitlement and Pay Calculator
This holiday pay calculator works out how much statutory annual leave you are entitled to and what it is worth. The UK minimum is 5.6 weeks a year, capped at 28 days, so a five day week gets 28 days and a three day week gets 16.8 days. It uses the rules for the 2026/27 leave year, and for workers whose hours vary it uses the GOV.UK method of 12.07% of hours worked.
Choose whether you work the same days each week or have hours that vary. Enter your weekly pay, the leave year start date and your start date if you joined part way through the year. The result shows your entitlement in days and hours, and the holiday pay for that leave. For variable pay, the weekly pay should be your average over the last 52 weeks with pay.

Veelgestelde vragen
How much statutory holiday am I entitled to in the UK?
Full time workers are entitled to 5.6 weeks of leave with pay a year, which is 28 days for a five day week. The entitlement is capped at 28 days, so a six day week still gets 28 days. Part time workers get a share of the same 5.6 weeks based on the days they work.
How is leave worked out for irregular hours?
Workers with irregular or part year hours build up leave at 12.07% of the hours they work. This is the GOV.UK method for leave years from April 2024, and it gives the same 5.6 weeks for a full time worker. The calculator shows the hours and the days that come from that.
Which weeks are used to work out holiday pay for variable pay?
Holiday pay for variable pay uses the average of the last 52 weeks with pay. If you do not have 52 weeks with pay, the calculation looks back up to 104 weeks, counting only the weeks with pay. Weeks with no pay are left out.
Can I get holiday pay for days I have not taken?
Statutory leave you have built up and not taken can be settled when your employment ends, and it is usually worked out at the same rate as your holiday pay. The exact rules depend on your contract and employment status, so check with your employer or GOV.UK if you are unsure.
