À propos de Time Duration Converter
Durations come in many forms. A recipe might say 90 minutes, a work plan might count weeks, and a stopwatch shows hours, minutes and seconds together. This time duration converter lets you move between seconds, minutes, hours, days and weeks in either direction, so you can see how long something lasts in the unit that suits you best. Enter an amount, choose its unit, and the table shows the same length in every other unit, from the smallest to the largest.
The clock section works both ways too. Type a time such as 01:30:00 in the clock box and the total number of seconds fills in automatically, or enter a total number of seconds and the matching hh:mm:ss time appears. A plain sentence also spells out the length, such as one hour and thirty minutes. Days and weeks here are exact, so a day is 24 hours and a week is seven days, which means the totals ignore changes to the clocks.

Questions fréquentes
How do I convert hours and minutes to seconds?
Multiply the hours by 3,600 and the minutes by 60, then add the seconds. For example, 1 hour, 30 minutes and 15 seconds is 3,600 plus 1,800 plus 15, which makes 5,415 seconds. The converter does this sum for you, so type the clock time into the clock box and read the total from the seconds box.
How many seconds are in a week?
A week has 604,800 seconds. That is seven days, each with 24 hours of 3,600 seconds, so seven times 86,400 gives 604,800. Weeks are useful for planning long jobs or counting down to an event, and the converter shows the same length in days, hours and minutes as well.
What does hh:mm:ss mean?
The letters stand for hours, minutes and seconds, separated by colons. In 02:15:30, the time is 2 hours, 15 minutes and 30 seconds. Minutes and seconds always run from 0 to 59, while hours can be any number. You can also type a shorter form such as 12:05 for 12 minutes and 5 seconds, and the converter will read it correctly.
Why is a day always 24 hours here?
On a calendar a day can be 23 or 25 hours on the days when the clocks change for daylight saving, but a standard day is 24 hours of elapsed time. The converter uses that standard length, so a day is always 86,400 seconds. For a timetable that runs across a clock change, check the calendar as well as the converted total.
Can I enter decimal hours?
Yes. Decimal hours are useful for timesheets and reports, where 2.5 hours means 2 hours and 30 minutes. The converter accepts decimals in the amount box and shows the result in each unit. Clock times use whole seconds, so any fraction of a second is dropped when a total is turned into hh:mm:ss.
