À propos de SSL & Domain Expiry Alerts

An expired SSL certificate makes browsers show a full page warning, and visitors leave. An expired domain registration is worse: the site and the email can stop working, and the name can be bought by someone else. Both usually expire quietly, long after someone set them up, and the reminder emails from the provider often go to an old address or to spam. This tool keeps a short list of your domains and watches the two dates for you.

Save up to 10 domains. Each day we read the certificate that the domain currently serves and look up the registration record in the public registry. When either one is 30, 14, 7 or 1 days from expiry, we email the address on your account. Each step is sent once, so you are not nagged, and the reminders start again after you renew. If the registry for your domain ending does not publish an expiry date, the list tells you plainly instead of guessing.

Questions fréquentes

When do the emails arrive?

The check runs once a day. If a certificate or registration is within 30, 14, 7 or 1 days of expiry and that step has not been emailed yet, the email goes out on that day's check. After a renewal is detected, the steps start again for the next expiry.

Which address do reminders go to?

The email address on your Valtrinity account. To use a different address, change it on your account or sign in with the other one.

Why does a domain show no registration date?

Some country domain endings do not publish an expiry date in the public registry. We show that clearly. The SSL certificate date is still tracked, because it comes from the site itself.

Does it check subdomains?

Save each subdomain you care about as its own entry, for example shop.example.com. The certificate is read for the exact name you save. The registration is looked up for the main domain.

Is this included in my plan?

It is included with Unlimited, the Network and domain pack, or a pass for this tool. If your plan ends, the reminders stop and your list is kept for when you come back.

How do I stop the emails for a domain?

Select Remove next to it. It is deleted from your list straight away, and no more emails are sent for it.
