Über Cron Expression Generator

This cron expression generator builds a schedule without making you remember the syntax. For each of the five fields, minute, hour, day of the month, month and day of the week, choose whether the job runs every time, every N, at chosen values or between two values. The five field expression updates as you go.

Under the expression you get a sentence in plain English and the next five times the job would run, so you can see at once whether it does what you meant. Pick a common schedule to start from, or set the controls yourself. Run times are counted from now, or from a date and time you choose, in your local time zone.

Häufige Fragen

What do the five fields mean?

In order they are minute (0 to 59), hour (0 to 23), day of the month (1 to 31), month (1 to 12) and day of the week (0 to 6, with 0 as Sunday). An asterisk means every value.

What happens if I set both a day of the month and a day of the week?

Standard cron runs the job when either one matches. If you want only Mondays that fall on the 1st, you need to check the date inside the job.

Which time zone do the run times use?

They use your local time zone, as a guide. The scheduler that runs your job uses its own time zone, which is often UTC, so check it before you rely on a time.

Does my scheduler use five fields?

Most do. Some add a seconds field first and use a question mark in place of an asterisk for one of the day fields, so check its documentation.
